ELPLP57 lamp replacement and time  

It is time to replace the ELPLP57 lamp when:

•The message "Replace the ELPLP57  lamp." is displayed when you start projecting

•The lamp indicator flashes orange

•The lamp replacement message is set to appear after the following time periods

in order to maintain the initial brightness and quality of the projected images

•If you continue to use the ELPLP57 lamp after  the replacement period has passed, the

possibility that the lamp may blow increases. When the lamp replacement

message is displayed, replace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible, even

if it is still working.

•Depending on the individual characteristics of the lamp and the way it has

been used, the lamp may become darkeror stop working before the message is

displayed. We recommend having a spare lamp ready in case it is needed

arning

•When replacing the lamp because it has stopped working, there is a possibility

that the lamp may be cracked. If replacing the lamp of a projector which has

been installed on a wall or ceiling, you should always assume that the lamp is

broken, and you should stand to the side of the Lamp cover, not underneath it.

Also, remove the lamp cover gently. There is the risk of small pieces of glass

falling when you open the lamp cover. If this happens, see a doctor

immediately.

•Never disassemble or modify a lamp. If a modified or disassembled lamp is

installed in the projector and used, it  could cause a fire, electric shock, or an

accident.

Resetting the Lamp Hours

The projector records how long the lampis on and a message and indicator

notify you when it is time to replace the lamp. After replacing the lamp,

reset the time accumulated for LampHours in the Configuration Menu
